About the MAPP – Deciding Together Leader Certification Virtual Training

This virtual course will consist of a combination of eLearning modules and virtual synchronous sessions. The first session will introduce learners to the purpose and outcomes of the Deciding Together program. During the second session, learners will observe and practice using the eight steps of social contracting with prospective foster/adoptive parents. The third session will give learners the opportunity to identify how to use critical and optional activities in the Deciding Together Family Books to prepare foster/adoptive parents for their role and to gather assessment information. The fourth session will help learners identify techniques and strategies to help prospective foster/adoptive parents address areas of development. Sessions are 2.5 hours.
