About the Interim Prevention New Worker Virtual Training

This course is delivered in three phases. Each phase focuses on the following areas of practice Building a Foundation for our Work, Partnering with Families to achieve Safety, Permanency and Well-being and Promoting Child Youth and Well-being. This virtual course will consist of a combination of eLearning modules and virtual synchronous sessions. Learners will complete the following for each phase:

Phase 1:

eLearning Modules

TOTAL: 4 hours

Virtual Synchronous Sessions


Phase 2:

eLearning Modules

TOTAL: 4 hours 10 minutes

Virtual Synchronous Sessions


Phase 3:

eLearning Modules

TOTAL: 6 hours

Virtual Synchronous Sessions

  • Phase 3 Review – 90 minutes

Who Should Attend?

This program is designed for both newly hired Prevention Case Planners and those without prior formal onboarding who are working in all preventive service programs, including General Preventive, Family Treatment/Rehabilitation (FTR), and evidence-informed/based models.

Important Information

  • Learners will be registered for eLearning modules and/or virtual sessions at the same time.
  • Learners that have not completed required eLearning modules prior to the virtual session will be withdrawn from the virtual session.
  • Learners will receive a Certificate of Completion upon completion of each component of the program and will not be able to move on to the next component until completing the prior component.
  • Completion of eLearning modules and attendance at virtual sessions will be verified and captured in Cornerstone.
