A Learning Program for NYC Child Welfare Professionals
In this 90-minute program, learners will strengthen their understanding of cognitive and developmental limitations in parents, including dispelling myths about individuals with developmental disabilities. Learners will also discuss how to observe, recognize, and assess these limitations. This course will build on learners’ Motivational Interviewing knowledge to engage parents with cognitive limitations and continue to use strengths-based practices to better serve children and families.
This course is designed for direct service staff and supervisors in Child Protection, Prevention, and Foster Care.
There are no CEUs associated with this course.
