An eLearning Program for NYC Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice Professionals
This 30 minute eLearning will provide child welfare and juvenile justice professionals the opportunity to refresh their basic writing skills in order to improve the quality of their written work. The lessons begin with a review of subject/verb agreement and move on to techniques to improve clarity and readability. These techniques include the use of active voice versus passive voice and avoiding filler words and buried verbs to make writing clearer. Participants will have the opportunity to practice rewriting sentences using these techniques.
