Designed as an alternative to the standard GPS II/MAPP program, Deciding Together brings the preparation and selection process to individual families who cannot participate in group meetings. This program includes seven family consultations that thoroughly prepare families for their fostering role. Each prospective foster/adoptive parent must also complete six workbooks. Certified GPS II/MAPP leaders can become certified Deciding Together leaders by completing a two-and-a-half-day Deciding Together training workshop.
This course is designed for Foster care and adoptive caseworkers, supervisors, homefinders, Directors of Social Services, and agency administrators in ACS Provider Agencies.
